Questions, answered.
Quick answers to the questions we hear most — about land, plans, cost, timelines and working with Cody.
Getting started
Land, plans and your first conversation.
Do I need to own land before I contact you?
No. Having property helps, but Cody is happy to talk early in your land search and help you think through site feasibility, utility costs and how a lot will affect your build.
Can I use my own house plans?
Yes. Many of our clients bring plans. We review them with you, suggest improvements where they help, and price the home from the finalized drawings.
How do I get a quote?
Call or text (812) 989-4814, email us, or send the project form on our contact page. We will set up a time to talk through your project, your property and your budget.
Cost & timeline
How payments work and how long a build takes.
How are payments structured?
Payments are tied to completed construction milestones (for example foundation, framing, dry-in, trim and final), so you are paying for work that is done. We will walk you through the exact schedule in your proposal.
How long does a custom home take?
Most custom homes and barndominiums take roughly five to nine months once construction starts, depending on size, finishes, weather and permitting. The Kress Cottage was started in September and finished before Christmas.
Project types
Barndominiums, shops and commercial work.
Do you build barndominiums with a shop or garage?
Yes. Combining living space with a shop, garage or equipment bay is one of the main reasons people choose a barndominium, and we plan that connection carefully.
Can commercial work be done outside business hours?
Yes. We regularly schedule commercial renovations for evenings and weekends so your business can stay open.
Working with us
Where we build and who runs your job.
What areas do you serve?
We are based in Charlestown, Indiana and build throughout Clark, Floyd, Harrison and Scott counties — including Jeffersonville, Sellersburg, Clarksville, New Albany and Corydon — and across the river in the Louisville / Kentuckiana area.
Will Cody actually be on my job site?
Yes. Cody Isaac personally manages every project, coordinates the trades and is your main point of contact from first meeting to final walkthrough.
No questions match that search. Call or text (812) 989-4814 and ask Cody directly.
Still have questions?
Tell us about your project. Cody will reach out to talk through your property, timeline and budget.
